Slay the Stigma Podcast
We strive to slay the stigma surrounding mental health. Join our executive director as she interviews mental health professionals.
Our diverse team of professionals include clinicians trained in traditional therapies, such as CBT, as well as a variety of research-based strategies, such as EMDR and Safe and Sound Protocol, which are helpful with a wide range of struggles — from post-traumatic stress to chronic pain. Our licensed therapists provide counseling in person and via telehealth. Our services are free to victims of crime from all areas in Texas. People who live, study, or work in Richardson may receive services regardless of their ability to pay. For those outside Richardson, fees fall on a sliding scale but often are free.
Services are available in English, Spanish, and Urdu.
Our robust victims’ assistance program includes free professional therapy and advocacy for victims of crime and other traumatic events in the cities of Richardson and Sachse.
Thanks to additional grant funding, we can also provide free services to individuals and families throughout the Dallas area. With telehealth services, we can provide therapy online to people throughout Texas.
Services are available in English, Spanish, and Urdu.
We provide interactive and meaningful educational courses for children and adolescents, including Drug Awareness, Juvenile First Offender Program, and our popular Project Positive (Richardson community members can participate in Project Positive for no charge).
The curricula teach young people basic brain science and practical tools for stress management, decision-making along with a several mindfulness techniques, from practicing gratitude to breathing exercises. Each participant ends the program with plenty of ways to boost their mental health and manage life’s challenges.
Courses are available in English, Kurdish, Spanish, and Urdu.
